Nearly 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. live with mental illness
According to the National Institute of Mental Health, data collected in 2017 showed 46.6 million American live with mental illness, which is almost 1 in 5 adults in our population. Research shows only about half of affected individuals receive treatment. Global Mentality has worked with community organizations, churches, and other community leaders to help raise awareness about mental health challenges and inform the community of available resources.
